Birthday freebies are not limited to coffee and restaurant treats. Some UK cinema and entertainment brands offer birthday rewards too — but the conditions vary from a genuinely free game to a 2-for-1 voucher or a “birthday person goes free” group package.
You can also browse the main UK birthday freebies guide and my separate guides to restaurant, coffee, beauty and fashion and jewellery birthday rewards.
Checked: 1 October 2026. I verified the offers below against the brands’ current UK pages or terms. I have separated individual birthday rewards from group-booking deals so a paid party package is not presented as a “free” birthday day out.

Birthday Rewards You Can Claim Without Booking a Group Party
ODEON Birthday Treat
ODEON says a birthday reward appears on your dashboard on your birthday and is available for 7 days. If your cinema does not support online food ordering, the reward can be claimed by scanning your membership QR code at a kiosk or till.
For myLIMITLESS members, ODEON currently specifies the birthday treat as a free Large Combo (popcorn and drink). Check the reward in your own account because membership products and promotions can change. Check ODEON’s birthday-treat help page.
Puttshack Perks: Free Birthday Mini-Golf Game
Puttshack currently advertises a free birthday game through its free Puttshack Perks programme. Its signup asks for your date of birth and permission to receive Perks communications, and says the birthday round is delivered to your inbox each year.
This is one of the clearest individual entertainment birthday rewards I found because Puttshack itself describes the benefit as a free birthday game rather than a discount attached to a paid birthday party. Check Puttshack Perks.
Tenpin Birthday Voucher: 2-for-1 Bowling, Not Completely Free
Tenpin’s current terms include a 2-for-1 birthday voucher. Eligible customers are emailed a voucher on the birthday date supplied at signup. It gives a free game when one standard-tariff game is purchased, for up to six people.
The current terms say it is valid from 6pm Sunday to 5pm Friday, excluding Saturdays and Bank Holidays, for 30 days from issue. The paid and free games must be played consecutively and the voucher cannot be combined with another offer. So I would call this a birthday deal, not a zero-spend birthday freebie. Check Tenpin’s current terms.
Birthday Person Goes Free: Group Deals With a Catch
These can save money if you were already planning a group celebration, but they are not the same as walking in alone and getting a free activity.
BOOM BATTLE BAR: Birthday Person Goes Free With the Package
BOOM BATTLE BAR currently advertises birthday packages where the birthday person goes free. Its UK birthday page says the standard package includes two games and two house drinks per person, with code BOOMONUS used to redeem the birthday-person offer. Prices, minimum group size and under-18 cut-off times vary by venue, so check your chosen location before booking. Check BOOM’s UK birthday packages.
Escape Hunt: Birthday Guest Goes Free on Eligible Group Packages
Escape Hunt has location-specific birthday packages. For example, its London Oxford Street page currently says the birthday guest goes free for parties of 10 or more. That page lists both children’s after-school and general birthday-celebration packages, with paid per-person prices and other conditions.
Because these offers can be location-specific, check the page for the Escape Hunt venue you intend to visit rather than assuming the London terms apply everywhere. See the current London Oxford Street example.
Paid Birthday Packages That Include a Free Future Reward
Hollywood Bowl: Free Game Voucher Comes With Paid Party Packages
Hollywood Bowl’s kids and teens birthday packages currently include a free game voucher for each child for a future visit. Its birthday information says the voucher is for one game of bowling for one person and is valid for three months from issue, with redemption tied to the issuing centre.
The important catch is that this is part of a paid birthday-party package. It should not be described as a general free birthday game for anyone who turns up on their birthday. Check Hollywood Bowl’s birthday-party information.
What About Showcase, Vue and Cineworld?
I have deliberately not listed a free Showcase birthday cinema ticket. Showcase’s current Insider pages describe its normal loyalty benefits — including rewards on purchases, discounted admission and member offers — but I could not verify a current general birthday-ticket entitlement from its official UK loyalty information.
The same rule applies to any cinema or activity brand not listed above: I would rather leave it out than turn an old coupon-site claim into a “2026 birthday freebie”. If a brand adds a clearly documented birthday reward, this guide can be updated.
How to Prepare Before Your Birthday
- Join early. Birthday rewards often depend on having your DOB and marketing permissions on the account before the birthday.
- Check whether it is truly free. Puttshack’s free game is different from Tenpin’s buy-one-get-one deal or a group package where only the birthday person is free.
- Read the location rules. Group size, prices, age restrictions and redemption rules can vary between venues.
- Screenshot or save the reward email. Some birthday vouchers have short redemption windows.
- Do not spend more just to “save”. A birthday-person-goes-free package is useful only if you actually wanted the group activity.
Entertainment Birthday Freebies UK: FAQs
Can I get a free cinema ticket on my birthday in the UK?
I could not verify a current nationwide free birthday cinema-ticket offer from the major cinema loyalty pages I checked. ODEON does, however, currently provide a birthday treat, and myLIMITLESS members are told they receive a free Large Combo.
Can I play mini golf free on my birthday?
Puttshack currently advertises a free birthday game through Puttshack Perks. Join in advance, add your date of birth and check the reward sent to your inbox.
Does Tenpin give free bowling on your birthday?
Tenpin’s current birthday voucher is 2-for-1 rather than a completely free standalone game: you buy one standard-tariff game and receive another free, subject to the voucher restrictions.
